Over 20 Years of Experience Identifying and Reducing Threats
Finn retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Sergeant and Master Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician. During that time, he accumulated over 20 years of real-world firearm experience and training. He is an NRA-certified instructor in Basic Pistol, Personal Protection Inside and Outside the Home, and a certified Range Safety Officer. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University.
A graduate of both a P.O.S.T.-certified Civilian Police Academy and the USMC Military Police School, Finn has extensive knowledge of firearm laws and use-of-force guidelines applicable to self-defense scenarios. He spent over 16 years providing periodic supporting for the U.S. Secret Service as a specialized threat advisor, ensuring the safety of the personal residences of multiple U.S. presidents and vice presidents, including the White House. His extensive overseas combat experience in urban environments provides unique insights into techniques to help keep you and your family safe, even in the most complex situations.
As a Bomb Technician, Finn was responsible for safely neutralizing hundreds of improvised explosive devices (IEDs). He will teach you to apply the same calm and focus under pressure, helping you navigate self-defense scenarios with confidence. He understands that low-pressure training with positive reinforcement is the most effective way to teach the critical tactics and techniques essential for self-defense.
